I was born in 1984 in western Ukraine and moved to Denmark 20 years ago. I have been a full-time artist since 2017. I work with oils, acrylics, watercolors, and clay.
SO, WHO AM I AS AN ARTIST?!
Solodka is an artist whose work bridges the realms of
surrealism and symbolic narrative. Her paintings are deeply introspective,
often featuring female figures that embody both strength and vulnerability.
Through her use of bold colors, such as rich reds and deep blacks, juxtaposed
against softer, muted backgrounds, she creates a visual tension that draws the
viewer into a world that feels both dreamlike and contemplative. Solodka's work
often incorporates elements of nature—birds, flowers, and arrows—that serve as
powerful symbols of life, death, resilience, and transformation. These natural
motifs, combined with her evocative portrayal of human figures, suggest an
ongoing dialogue between the inner self and the external world, as well as
themes of identity, time, and impermanence. Her paintings invite viewers to
explore complex emotions and philosophical questions, making them more than
just visual experiences. Solodka's art speaks to the universal human condition,
asking us to reflect on our own existence and the subtle forces that shape our
lives. With a distinct style that blends realism with surreal elements, Solodka
has carved out a unique space in the contemporary art scene, where her work
resonates as much for its aesthetic beauty as for its depth of meaning.
