ABOUT ME
My name is Yuliya Solodka (born 1984 in Ukraine), and I am a visual artist based in Denmark. My practice centers on figurative and symbolic work created in oil, acrylics, watercolor, and clay. Through these mediums, I explore the emotional and psychological spaces that shape the human experience.
I am particularly drawn to the female figure as a vessel for storytelling. Recurring motifs such as birds, flowers, and luminous elements serve as symbolic anchors in my work, reflecting themes of vulnerability, transformation, strength, and inner resilience. My imagery blends classical realism with surreal and poetic undertones, creating a quiet tension that invites the viewer into a contemplative and intimate visual world.
Although I am a self-taught artist, I established my professional practice in 2014 and have since refined a personal visual language that continues to evolve. My work has been exhibited in Denmark and internationally, and is held in private collections across several countries.
I currently live and work in Denmark, where I continue to develop my practice and expand my body of work.
